Our next chapter is on Civil Rights. Do you think racism is still an issue in 2014? Write one paragraph.
I don't think that racism is a big issue in todays world. There are some cases where kids are racist because there family is racist. I don't see many cases in todays world. Racism was a big deal many years ago but is very seldom talked about in todays world. In todays society everyone is treated equal and I see it remaining that way for a long time.

I think Supreme court justices should have the right to work until death. After long enough, the person doing the job gets pretty good at it. They will then have a lot of experience therefore making the right decisions. I don't think the public should get have the right to vote for the justices, it should be left up to the President and experience. This would be one less thing that we would have to worry about and should just be kept the same as it always was.

Three victims that died in the outbreak were children. Guinea has a weak medical infrastructure which made this outbreak devastating. The Guinea Health Ministry stated that the disease can come from other infected people and by consumption of meat from animals in a bush.

Which Judicial Philsophy do you agree with- judicial restraint or judicial activism?
¨Judicial restraint- believe that judges should decide cases on the basis of (1) original intent of the Framers or those who enacted the statue(s) involved in a case, and (2) precedent- a judicial decision that serves as a guide for settling later cases of a similar nature.

¨Judicial activism- Argue that provisions in the Constitution and in statue law should be interpreted and applied in the light of ongoing changes in conditioning and values- especially in cases involving civil rights and social welfare issues.

I agree with the Judicial Restraint that judges should decide the cases on the basis of original intent.
