1.  The shut down is over, so what's next?
I think that the government will go awhile without shutting down again but after a few years the government will probably shut down again due to some of the same problems.

BR 10/16/13

1.  Should the two girls be charged?  yes or no and explain your answer
I think that the two girls should be charged because this is a threat to someones life and this would show the world how bad bullying really is and how quickly the bullying could stop.

2.  What is the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony?
A misdemeanor is an act that is fixed with substantial fines and may require some jail time. A felony is a more serious crime that may require several years in jail, most likely with a first degree charge.

3.  What is one thing do you think should be done to combat bullying?
Charges against these students should be enough of a threat to stop bullying all together.

Simply read the article and respond
The Janitor of a school offered students one dollar to beat up another kid. I don't know how someone so sickly minded would even consider hurting a child, especially an adult! This should be a crime towards the janitor.

How do we keep events like this from happening?

There really is no way to keep this from happening except for taking legal action against these threats.

BR 10/14/13

Summarize the article, and explain how this protest differed from earlier protests at the WWII Memorial.

The article was about the government shutdown and how they are trying to use veterans as pawns in the shutdown. The crowd chanted " Tear down these walls!" as they entered the memorial plaza. They picked up the fence and brought it to the white house.

1.  Is it fair to force the states to pay something that is the responsibility of the national government?

2.  Select which of the parks you would most like to visit and tell why.
I would most like to visit Yosemite National Park because I have recently researched the park and saw many beautiful photographs of the park. I think it would be so neat to actually see the photographs that Ansel Adams took in real life of Yosemite.
