BR 9/30/13

1.  What do all have in common?
All the articles have in common of attacks that have happened in the U.S. There was even an American, ex-army soldier that committed the crime. The last article was about the government shutting down. They all have to do with the government and attacks on them.

BR 9/26/13

1. From the movie, what are the benefits of a centralized system?
The benefits of a centralized system from the movie are it's a way to control what happens in the world. Another benefit it may be is it can take control and use and find out information on just about anything.
2. How did the advanced technology control the lives of the people in the movie?
In the movie, the advanced technology ruined all kinds of lives because it tried to gain to much power that eventually caused comotion. It needed Jerry's face and voice for recognition to allow the crystals to go off. This ruined Jerry's and Rachel's life because they became suspects.
3. Do you want to have that kind of technology in our community, like our school or municipality? Defend your stand.
I don't think we need any kind of technology to rule our county. Our county is doing just fine now and we don't need a piece of technology become to strong and try to overrule the county.

4. In what way do you use technology wisely? Give an example.
Technology is a way of communication for me. This is a way that I can talk to family members and friends as easily as possible.

5. What message does the movie want to convey? How should you use or treat technology in this digital age?
The movie wants to show the people that the government is always there watching you. Whatever you do on computers, cameras, and phones the government has a way to track and find out what you are doing. No one should abuse technology. Technology is how we find things out easier and faster. It is also a means of communication. Technology is so important in so many ways and I think its always going to be important.

BR 9/19/13

I don't think a video game has anything to do with killing someone. A video game can not predict how someone should act. Playing a game is no excuse to kill someone. I think it's ridiculous that someone would even blame video games for the reason of major shooting. There are so many people that play violent video games that do not commit a crime!

     So they can prevent truancy

2. Is this an invasion of privacy?
I believe that this is kind of an invasion of privacy but I feel like it would probably work with some students.

I wouldn't mind it because I know that I'm not doing anything wrong on social media sites and i would be in the clear if they went through it.

This is such a horrific and tragic event to happen. They were in the basement restroom preparing for a church asssembly. The girls bodies were found in the rubble. These girls were so smart and were going to make something of themselves. The world today thinks highly of these little girls and everything they done. They will never be forgotten.

9/11 Assignment

1.) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1753042/posts

This personal survivor story is so touching to anyone. This women is explaining her normal work day just as she thought her day should go, absolutely normal. She was just going into work, just as she did everyday, and she heard a loud boom and the smell of fire. Someone said that it was an explosion a couple floors up from where she was at, but in reality that's no what it was at all. This women is lucky to be alive, and I'm glad she is.

2.) http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/159825#.UjWt7Mjn_IU
This man is so lucky to be alive today. He feels so guilty because he is one of few that survived 9/11. His story is such a miracle. This man jumped from the 22nd floor of the twin towers. All that happened to this man was a broken leg and a crushed ankle. He remembers the building falling and him having no where else to go so he jumped, experienced a bright flash and fell unconscious. This man is so lucky to be alive today.

 9/11 attack on the WTC

3.) http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2009/September/911-Survivor-Shares-Survival-Story/

Sujo John is just an average man working in the World Trade Center Tower 1, and his wife working in Tower 2. On September 11, 2001 Sujo went to work on the 81st floor and heard a loud explosion. Little did he know that just floors away from him, an airplane had hit the tower. He remembers the building swaying back and forth and was tilting to the left. It took Sujo a little over an hour to get out of the 81st floor. He had no idea where his wife was, but with the help of praying to God, neither one of them were hurt.

BR 9/13/13

What is this significance?
The significance is that no one got hurt and it happened because someone staged it.

Was war a success or failure?
I think this was a failure because nothing really happened from it and it didn't really go anywhere.

BR 9/12/13

1. Interpret what the meaning is of the article. How will job seekers view this information.
Non working benefits, like welfare, is surprisingly below 300,000 since 2006. This means that more people are getting up and getting jobs to help support themselves rather than recieving benefits such as welfare from the government. I think job seekers will realize that more jobs are coming into effect and it should be easier to get a job now a days.

2. Does this mean the economy is improving?
This does not necassarily mean that the economy is improving but its a good start! This may mean that more people are getting jobs so the government will have to stop taking money out of the hardworking peoples paychecks and stop paying those people that don't work. This could be the start to a better economy!

BR 9/11/13

What is the difference between privacy and security? Privacy is something that no one else has connection to of a certain persons belonging. Security is something that is securing the product that you don't want someone else to see. Security may be more efficient than having your own privacy. If you have good security then someone else is responsible for not letting anyone in or finding anything out. I feel like I should have my own privacy unless I do something that puts a target on my back, to give them a reason to investigate me.

BR 9/6/13

1. Write a reaction to the article.
I am absolutely shocked that a father would do this to there child because of his grammar. I don't think, for any reason, that this is acceptable whatsoever. This man should be in a jail for awhile and see how it feels to be slapped around.
2. What do the father's action show?
The fathers actions show that he is very controlling and that something so simple makes him so mad. I don't think that he is father material this day in age.
3. Would this have been acceptable in the 1950s?
Yes, this is the way that they treated everyone back then, and it was horrible.

I don't think so because the product is just the amount that it cost and no one would buy it if it was raised.

1. Do you think this is invasion of your privacy? Justify your answer.
